We were referred by another vet office that didn’t have a same day appointment. Their staff was compassionate and kind, and helped me get through a horrible, emotional day. I would highly recommend their services.

We experienced a sudden heath crisis with our 13+ yr old shih-poo, Bella, and was referred to AcutePet by our regular vet. Our vet was able to get an appointment online for us within two hours. Upon arrival, we were seen immediately by very caring, compassionate staff. After examining our Bella and performing an ultrasound of her abdomen, their AcutePet vet spoke with my wife and I and calmly let us know the bad news: Bella had a tumor, probably cancerous, on her spleen and fluid, probably blood, in her abdomen. He told us our options: arrange for surgery at a veterinary hospital or euthanize her. He explained that her odds of recovery from surgery were poor and recommended euthanasia. We reluctantly agreed, and after waiting briefly for them to prepare for the procedure, the vet compassionately carried out the procedure while we comforted and petted our precious Bella. After she was gone, their staff briefed us on our options for disposition of her remains. We chose to have her cremated at a local service in the area, and AcutePet made all the arrangements. We were able pickup Bella’s ashes at AcutePet in just a few days. My family was devastated to lose our Bella, but AcutePet made the experience bearable due to their great, professional, compassionate staff. I would highly recommend them if you need emergency care for your pet.

i came in moreso concerned for my elderly cat but was not expecting to leaving without her. i had no appointment and found them solely based on a google search. they took her in right away. unfortunately, what the team found wasn’t good and came up with a care plan, but also advised me to think about her quality of life. this was the first animal i have ever had to put down, and between the receptionist, the nurse, and the vet, while overwhelming and extremely emotional, made this experience as easy as they could. The nurse & vet both reassured me multiple times that euthanizing was the most humane last act of love i could give my 16 year old girl and that she wouldn’t feel a single ounce of pain. they were both so gentle with her and myself. i genuinely appreciate both of you, and you both will hold such a special place in my heart. while i hope i never have to do this or see you guys again, AcutePet will be my first go-to if i have to. i cannot thank you all enough for being patient, and kind with me, and treating my sweet girl with so much love in her final moment. again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

They saw my 12 yo Yorkie. Their genuine concern and care was beyond reproach. They were meticulous in their exam, and honest about the assessment. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as I had hoped; however, they were sympathetic and caring to the end. I will miss the little guy more than you can imagine – but I could never ask for better, professional, and personal care.
