Came in as a walk-in with my older golden who had got in a scuffle with my younger golden and they stated they don’t take walk ins anymore but had an available appointment within the hour thankfully! It was 2 days prior to Christmas so I knew they were busy so I didn’t mind the wait. I was comfortable enough (due to the extremely friendly staff) to leave him for a few hours for them to clean and stitch him up. Doc Ken even called to give updates after they sedated him, just to let me know the extent of what was under his hair before they proceeded! So thankful for ya’ll! Moose is healing nicely and I know he was appreciative of everything, except the cone! 😉

I have no words to describe the amazing experience we had at AcutePet. We are on vacation from Florida when our boy Jax got very sick. Dr Powers was Terrific, very knowledgeable and professional. The tech Hecker was not short of excellent and great with Jax!! God bless them…

I was looking for a place to take my pup for an evening appointment and was able to easily schedule online for about an hour out. Everyone we interacted with from start to finish was wonderful and kind and put me at ease when dealing with an otherwise stressful situation. I hope I don’t need to come back, but if I do have another incident with a pet that requires same day care I would certainly take them here.

10 out of 10. Would recommend. Our German Shepherd is anxious around strangers. They were very accomodating to us regarding that. We were seen within minutes and a plan was made. She had to have minor “surgery” to clean a wound and dress it, but we were in and out in 2 hours!

I have a very high opinion of Acute Pet. My dog was just fine and busy chasing a squirrel one minute, and limping 30 seconds later. Apparently she had sprained her carpus (wrist joint) of her front right leg. They checked her out, and prescribed an anti-inflammatory and a pain med. My appointment was set for 1100. I arrived at 1055. I waited until about 1135 before we were taken to a treatment room. We waited again until we saw a Vet Tech. Then we waited s again until about 1220 before we saw the Veteranarian. I can only guess that since it is an “Urgent Care” they must provide care based on a Triage system, like an Urgent Care for people, so the waiting is understandable, I only wish somone had explained that to me. The overlall experience was great. The front seat staff were great. The Vet Tech was great. The Veteranarian was great. I would happily take my dog to them for regular care. If the need arises in the future I will go back to Acute-Pet. I wish they had a location near Vandalia/Clayton/Englewood since there is no Urgent care for pets around the area.

Wonderful people! Unfortunately we had to make an end of life decision for our little senior dog, but AcutePet was extremely sympathetic and friendly. They walked us through everything we needed to know, consider, and prepare for. We plan to go back with them for our other pet needs.

I found this clinic online during an emergency after we had been turned away elsewhere. I was extremely worried about my dog, and this team was everything we needed—kind, understanding, informative, and genuinely willing to help. Even though we didn’t have much money, they worked with us and made sure my little guy received the care he needed. I am truly grateful for their compassion and support. I was in Ohio visiting family for the holidays when my dog got sick. AcutePet was such a blessing! I was able to make an appointment for just a few hours after I called (same day!). The entire staff was so friendly and caring. The vet and the vet tech took time to carefully explain all the details of my dog’s diagnosis and treatment plan. And the bill was completely reasonable! I was very happy with the service and would return if I had to (but hopefully I won’t)!
