AcutePet Urgent Care vets in Avon, OH

When my cat Diva was really struggling with her battle with cancer and I knew it was time to take her in I had called her normal veterinarian who had told me they always had reserved emergency appointments if you called in the morning. Well I called right away and was told they dont do that and to just go to medVet. I wasn’t happy with that answer and was looking for other options in the area when I stumbled upon AcutePet. AcutePet was caring, attentative, and had open appointments and when I scheduled I requested that if they got earlier appointments available that they call. They did get her in earlier and we’re sympathetic towards the situation. They made sure we were comfortable, they made sure Diva was taken care of and had a room with its own exit so we didn’t have to go back to the lobby. We were able to pay in the room and felt no pressure to try and do or pay for other things. We were allowed as much private time with Diva before we were ready for the Vet to come in. He went through everything step by step and we were able to hold Diva during the process. It meant a lot to us to be able to feel like they cared about us, our pet, and what we were going through. I could not recommend AcutePet enough if you need urgent vet services. The price was fair (similar to what I spent on a previous animal at their normal vet) and every member of staff was caring.

Received proper diagnosis with X-rays and thorough conversation. Never pushed unnecessary diagnostics or meds. If you go later in the day, you will probably be waiting for a while but the Westchester location is worth the wait. Dr. Midkiff and Jen the tech were very kind and helpful.

Our dog experienced an acute neurological event Saturday evening. The staff got us in quickly. We worked with Dr. Hanson who did a wonderful job explaining text results. He even called us after hours that evening when he noticed a test result he wasn’t comfortable with and wanted us to come back the following day for retesting. Very clean facility and all the staff we encountered were extremely friendly.

They saw us on a Saturday when my vet was closed . My chessie was urinating alot of blood. After running blood work and talking with me he started treating her for lyme disease. 2 days later she is doing better and they have a new patient.

We brought our cat in to be seen by the vet because she was having diarrhea and we thought she might have a urinary blockage. She was examined right away, several options were discussed with us and the doctor came in to go over everything with us after examining her. Thankfully her bladder was fine and we were sent home with probiotics and prescription can food. We would definitely visit this clinic again to assess urgent situations with our pets. Everyone was very kind, caring and professional.

The appointment started as soon as we walked in. No waiting to get in a room. I was impressed for our first visit here! Very knowledgeable, caring staff. Easy online scheduling.

All of the staff in charge of me and my pet were very helpful and kind. I walked in at the time of my appointment and was immediately taken to a room to be seen. The vet explained our options for treatment very well and made sure I knew all of my choices. My cat even got a sticker for being so brave!

They took the very best care and went above and beyond for my pup! Very appreciative!!
